KVM solutions for an optimized working environment in the ATC sector Intelligent KVM solutions and many years of experience in Air Traffic Control With KVM technology in the Digital Tower, many challenges can be solved. The German manufacturer Guntermann & Drunck GmbH (G&D) is close to the market thanks to its many years of cooperation with air navigation service providers around the world and has extensive experience in building fail-safe KVM system architecture for mission-critical environments. One of many successful cases is the HungaroControl digital remote tower, where KVM technology from the German manufacturer is implemented. With the sophisticated concept, HungaroControl was able to increase both the fail safety and the availability of all systems, significantly reduce the noise and waste heat emissions in the control room and benefits from efficient, ergonomic and user-friendly work processes. The full redundancy of the systems guarantees maximum safety. The latest project of G&D involves equipping Remote Tower Brunswick with KVM systems. In the future, Brunswick-Wolfsburg Airport and Emden Airfield will be controlled from the Remote Tower Brunswick. DFS Aviation Services GmbH (DAS) will offer its air traffic control services in the Remote Tower starting 2024. The feasibility of the complex technology was jointly evaluated by DAS and DLR (German Aerospace Center). In the Remote Tower Brunswick project, DAS is once again relying on G&D’s products and expertise to ensure a smooth and reliable system architecture.
