LONG TERM PLAN
The Long term plan covers forecast for the next 10 days. The first three days of the forecast are represented by a 6-hour time step. (00-06, 06-12, 12-18 and 18- 00). The forecast for first three days is generally the most accurate thanks to local mesoscale numerical weather prediction models used alongside traditional global numerical weather prediction models. Forecasts for the fourth day and beyond rely almost entirely on global numerical weather ensemble prediction.
The system contains a list of actions/local procedures to be implemented in order to mitigate the impact caused by the adverse weather situations. Action/local procedure appears as a pop-up window after clicking on the cell with a colored alert. It can also be configured according to the specification of the customer.
